Besides the rector, DSTU in Azerbaijan has been represented by Alina Vinitskaya, Head of the International Partnership Department, Yegana Akhmedova, an expert of the International Cooperation Service, and Dmitry Jedirov, Assistant to the rector.

On the first day of the visit to Baku, the delegation met with the Rector of the Azerbaijan State University of Petroleum and Industry Askerov Vazeh Eldeniz oglu. The parties agreed on the exchange of students, joint publication activity and scientific research of mutual interest.

– I am sure we will be able to establish cooperation and even be able to open a fundamentally new direction of training for DSTU, – said the rector of DSTU Besarion Meskhi.

The next day, the delegation of the Rostov University has visited the Khazar University. The first in Azerbaijan and one of the first non-state universities in the entire post-Soviet space concluded an agreement with DSTU providing for joint research and activities, the organization of academic mobility of students, cooperation in improving the quality of educational services and participation in national and international projects. The documents were signed by the rector of Khazar University Irada Khalilova and the rector of DSTU Besarion Meskhi.

– Today we need to combine efforts on those scientific and educational projects where there is mutual interest, – Besarion Meskhi noted. – We will focus on work in the field of bioengineering, unified health and ecology. I hope our cooperation will benefit both the Don State University and the Khazar University.

On October 6, the final day of the visit to Baku, a meeting of the DSTU delegation with the Rector of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Civil Engineering Gulchokhra Huseyn kyzy Mammadova has been scheduled. The parties have also signed a cooperation agreement, which provides for partnership in the field of education, culture and science.
Earlier, DSTU signed partnership agreements with the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University and the National Academy of Aviation of the Azerbaijan Hava Yollary Closed Joint Stock Company. Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan enter and study at DSTU every year.
