DSTU ESTABLISHES COOPERATION WITH EDUCATONAL ORGANIZATIONS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZIMBABWE
On July 28, Don State Technical University, in the framework of summit “Russia – Africa”, which was held in Saint-Petersburg, made partnership agreements with the Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) and the Centre for Education, Innovation, Research and Development (CEIRD).
"We look forward to a long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation with the African countries, among which the Republic of Zimbabwe holds the leading position," said Besaron Meskhi, Rector of DSTU.

The memorandum and agreements are aimed at defining the basic principles in organization of strategic cooperation between two parties and envisage the development of partnership relations in 7 areas - from the exchange of students, academic staff, scientists and experts to joint events and participation in international projects. The parties also agreed to exchange scientific and technical information.

- “We have agreed that we will increase training of African students at our universities,” commented Vasiliy Golubev, head of the Rostov region. “Almost a thousand students from 42 African countries are currently studying at the Don. Young people, in particular, are interested in the professions of doctors, engineers, and the IT sphere. A world-class scientific and educational center is successfully operating in our region, and an engineering school has been established at DSTU. This arouses wide interest among foreign students.”    

On behalf of the partners, the documents were signed by Dezmont Manatsa ,CEIRD Chief Scientist and Albert Chavanda, MSUAS Rector.
