- Cooperation with the Seychelles occupies a special place in the international activities of the DSTU, - emphasises Besarion Meskhi, DSTU Rector. - We are already connected by several ongoing projects. I am sure that now our cooperation will reach a new level.

The agreement was signed on 28 July at the Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg. The document was signed by the Director of Seaweed Seychelles Pty Ltd. Robenson Bernard Port-Louis and the Rector of DSTU Besarion Meskhi.

It's worth remembering that within the framework of Russian-Seychelles cooperation, the Faculty of Agroindustry carried out joint research in the field of stimulation of germination of agricultural crops. According to Dmitry Rudoy, Dean of the Agroindustrial Faculty of the DSTU, during the unique model experiment to study the effect of the liquid growth stimulator, provided by the Seychelles side, on the germination of radish seeds "Coral" decent results were achieved. The applied preparation will be offered to partners in the Rostov region.

In addition, together with Seychellois partners, the university is implementing the project "Media Expedition "Russia - Seychelles". The event is aimed at the creation and distribution of youth content based on the study of the culture and traditions of Seychelles, Rostov-on-Don's twin city.

Seaweed Seychelles was established in Seychelles in 2015 and produces liquid organic plant growth stimulants and soil conditioners from seaweed.
