– At the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of DSTU it is planned to teach Turkish as part of bachelor's and master's programmes. Creation of Turkish language centre in DSTU is one of the prospects of further cooperation between Necmettin Erbakan University and DSTU, - commented Elena Murugova, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Linguistics of DSTU.
According to Ali Kahraman, Vice-Rector of Necmettin Erbakan University, Russian-speaking students study at the Turkish university and the Centre for Russian Language Studies is functioning.
Within the framework of cooperation between the universities, it is also planned to open a new master's degree programme dedicated to pedagogical ecosystems of language learning with a separate track on Turkish language learning, to create additional language programmes, joint integrative courses and summer language programmes.
In addition, within the framework of the Turkish delegation's visit to DSTU, the parties plan to implement joint academic mobility programmes, participate in grant projects of the universities and the Turkish scientific foundation TUBITAK, conduct scientific research in the field of agro-biotechnology - aquaculture, grain crops processing, fertiliser production, precision agriculture, as well as in the field of linguistics, archaeology, energy and modern concrete production technologies. Both universities are considering the possibility of implementing joint master's degree programmes in English in mechanical engineering and mechanics.
