There are more than 20 marine enterprises in Rostov region such as The Don Water Transport Association (“Azov Shipyard”, “Moryak”, Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Rosmorport”, Donrechflot, etc.), as well as more than 20 shipbuilding and shiprepairing enterprises (“Don-Kassens Shipyard”, “RIF”, “Donskaya boat company SKIF” and others). These enterprises implement design, production, service and maintenance of water transport, river and sea infrastructure. The Faculty “Shipbuilding and Marine engineering” trains qualified engineering and scientific staff for the shipbuilding and ship repair industry in the South of Russia.

The faculty provides opportunities for research activities in six specialized laboratories. Students work with laboratory stands, measuring equipment, medical equipment, etc.

More than 30 students from different countries study at the faculty (Iraq, Gabon, Egypt, Palestine, Yemen, Nigeria, etc.).
