The faculty provides up-to-date competences in the fields of ecology, atmospheric, water and earth protection, urban environment management, heat management, water supply, recycling, waste management, industrial safety management and other environmental sciences.

In order to provide essential practical skills many disciplines of the faculty are held outside the university classes at local scientific laboratories and testing areas such as well-known in Russia fish farms.
